FIRST GENERAL MEETING - FALL 2003
2003.10.12

In the First General Meeting of the year, we first silenced our new members by feeding them yummy dim sum from the Pheonix. We then continued our plot of brainwashing these innocent newbies by giving them a brief introduction to Chinese Calligraphy. A further re-education schedule was introduced in the quarter syllabus. This was followed by the first weapons training session where the new members were handed their powerful ink brushes. Much fun was had by all!

FIRST BOARD MEETING - FALL 2003
2003.10.03

On a late Friday night, the members of the board gathered to fight over the One Knife in the kitchen of our dear treasurer, then proceeded to make mince meat of ... lettuce. Eventually, dumplings (both meat and vegetarian) were made and collectively consumed, plotting of conquest discussed, and an iLamp marvelled at. Ah, the filled stomach and the filled agenda!

DRESS-UP and SPEAKER RUNSUN PAN'S PRESENTATION - SPRING 2003
2003.05.25

Our last meeting this quarter, this year. So sad..
Speaker Runsun Pan gave a lecture on the technique of Calligraphy. He explained how to hold a brush, what is a good posture, what kind of brushes there are, the different styles of writing lines.
Then we played dress-up. Some people actually practiced calligraphy, but since this was our last meeting this year, we chose to have other kinds of fun. So we all put on our qi paos that we bought in Chinatown on our club trip.
